Royal ascot is one of the few occasions that still has a clear fashion code. Year in year out, I hear people referring to ascot as "the highlight of the fashion calendar" Never have I seen so many fashion in one confined space.

It was lovely to see so many dress getting an airing at ascot. It involves a lot of highly organised showing-off. The idea is to look smart, look rich and to stand out.
